Gifts Honoring Others

A gift to Oregon State University in honor or in memory of loved ones is a deeply meaningful way to recognize those who have an extraordinary impact on our lives.

You have many ways to make this tangible expression of appreciation.

Creating a Lasting Legacy

With a minimum gift (or collected gifts) of $25,000, you can create a permanent endowment fund in your loved one's name. This fund might support scholarships, seminars, faculty, library resources, a department or college, research funding, student experience funds, and more. Contact Pam Powell at 541-737-5820 to explore your ideas.

The OSU Foundation is the independent fundraising agent of the university and is the preferred designee for tribute gifts. See sample language at right.

Honoring Someone with a Gift
(Online or by Mail)

When you make a memorial or honorary gift online, you will be asked to state the name of the area or specific fund you're supporting and the name of the person being recognized. The honoree or next of kin will be notified that you made a gift. Your name, address, and the fund you choose to benefit will be shared, but not the amount of your gift. If you would like to let us know who else to notify, please include that information under “Comments/Special Instructions.”

If you prefer to give via a personal check, please address the check to "OSU Foundation" and enclose information about whom you are recognizing, what fund or area you wish to support, and whom should be notified. Send to:

OSU Foundation
850 SW 35th St.
Corvallis, OR 97333-4015
