Andy Warhol at the Portland Art Museum

OSU alumni and friends with a passion for art gathered at the Portland Art Museum Nov. 30 for a special viewing of Andy Warhol: Prints from the Collections of Jordan D. Schnitzer and His Family Foundation. Museum director and chief curator Brian Ferriso personally introduced this major retrospective exhibition of Andy Warhol prints – the largest of its kind ever to be presented. Guests also heard from College of Liberal Arts dean Larry Rodgers, School of Arts and Communication director Lee Ann Garrison, and fine arts professor Shelley Jordon.

Enjoy photos of the event.

OSU has a vibrant presence in Portland, which is home to 50,000 alumni: about one in every three OSU graduates. Upcoming events include the Dam City Classic men's basketball tournament Dec. 16-18 at the Moda Center and President Ed Ray's State of the University address at the Oregon Convention Center on Feb. 8.

The Warhol exhibit runs through Jan. 1.

Celebrating the Arts at OSU

OSU Friends of the Arts make annual gifts of $1,000 to support talented students and excellent programs in music, visual arts, graphic design, theater, and more.

Join us on campus for SAC Presents: fine and performing arts events including an evening with humorist David Sedaris.

This fall OSU launched a yearlong series of events to celebrate and elevate the relationship between the arts and science.

A brilliant blue pigment discovered at OSU is paving the way for a whole family of new color developments – and inspiring the creativity of students.
