On Saturday, June 10, Oregon State supporters came together to celebrate one of Portland's oldest traditions, the annual Rose Festival's Grand Floral Parade.
The unpredictable Oregon rain was no match for this group of Beavers. The 165 guests were able to catch a break in the weather just long enough to enjoy the parade as it made its way along the street right outside of the OSU Portland Center.

This year, former Rose Princess Margaret Drew '11 joined in the fun. Margaret recognizes her time on the court as the confidence booster she needed to embark on her first year of college at Oregon State. Margaret earned her degree in graphic design and also studied music and voice. Today, she works for a design firm in downtown Portland and thanks OSU for continuing to support her as she pursues her career.
Every year, the parade draws hundreds of thousands of viewers of every age to downtown Portland. The parade follows a 4.2 mile route through Portland city streets and across the river. This year marked the ninth year that the OSU Foundation has hosted a parade watch party for the Grand Floral Parade.
